IN HER OWN WORDS

T's Story

T's Story

I found myself in a trafficking situation when I became hooked on prescription drugs after a long illness. My children were grown and had moved on, and I left my husband because of my addiction. I ultimately moved in with my supplier, and it was there that he asked me to take care of young girls he was trafficking. I wanted out but was beaten not only by him but by the young girls in the house. Luckily, I escaped and ran to my daughters’ house. I’d had a stroke from the beating. I was very sick, slept for three days, and shortly thereafter admitted myself to a treatment center for meth addiction.

I’ve been clean now for four years, and I can’t say enough about the women God put in my path to help me. It has been a long time since I truly felt love, and these women were there for me.

I want to help other women who have gone through what I have gone through. I have a home now and a new job. I have found my calling, and I will do the best work I can do—all for God’s glory.
